FUTURE STARS-2 AND 3 YEARS
This is an introduction to dance and movement, through ballet, jazz and
gymnastics.  Dancers will learn basic body positioning, balance, rhythms
and progression work through the use of the floor and apparatus. 
DRESS...black leotard/pink tights/black gym slipper
 
BALLET-4 AND UP
The basic technique for all disciplines of dance.  Ballet developes technique,
placement, body structure and strength.  From the basic use of plie at the barre
to beautiful arabesque lines, dancer will learn to appreciate this highly structured
form of dance.
DRESS...black leotard/pink tights/pink ballet shoes
 
JAZZ-4 AND UP
This freestyle and energetic form of dance, involves stretches, isolations and progessive work across the floor.  Steps to be learned include jumps, turns and kicks.
DRESS...black leotard/beige tights/beige jazz boots/booty shorts optional
 
TAP-4 AND UP
Beginning with an intro to sound and movement, tappers will learn the basic foundation for tap.   As the students progress, they learn advanced rhythms and syncopation, putting an emphasis on clarity and definition in the footwork.
DRESS...black leotard/beige tights/beige or black tap shoes depending on class
 
 HIP HOP-7 AND UP
It's street, urban and fun for all!  This form includes poppin' and breakin' as well as
freestyle movement to give the students a chance to develop their own style.
DRESS...loose comfortable clothing/no jeans/indoor sneaker
 
ACRO-4 AND UP
Students learn basic acrobatic skills needed to progress to a higher level. 
Stretching and strengthening the body is incorporated into the class.  Skills like headstands, walkovers and roundoffs are worked on.
DRESS...black leotard/beige stirrup tights/barefeet
 
MODERN-12 AND UP
This class incorporates contemporary movement and lyrical choreography.  It is a unique style of movement that allows dancers to explore their self expression and musicality and to dance "outside" the box of traditional means.
DRESS...black leotard/beige tights or bare legs/barefeet
 
CONTEMPORATY/LYRICAL-12 AND UP
This class is for dancers who would like to experiment with emotion, musicality and
creativity.  Often called "slow jazz", lyrical requires ballet technique, and is
becoming popular with all ages.
DRESS...black leotard/beige tights or booty shorts and bare legs/foot undies

LEVEL ONE-FUTURE STARS
Introduction of movement to 2-3 year olds, through ballet, jazz and gymnastics. 
They will learn a routine to be showcased in the annual recital.
 
LEVEL TWO-RECREATIONAL
Beginner and Advance level
Dancers can train in any discipline of their choice.  Emphasizing, having fun in
class with structured learning.   Dancers learn, at an easier pace,
the fundamentals of technique as well as a routine they will perform in the annual recital.
 
LEVEL THREE-PART TIME COMPETITIVE
Dancers will train at a quicker pace and at a more structured technical level.  
These dancers have been selected by the studio director to dance and
compete on the award winning "EXTREME TEAM". 
Dancers are showing potential and committment to compete in 2-3 local competitions a year.
 
LEVEL FOUR-FULL TIME COMPETITIVE
Dancers who are highly focused and excelling at a very strong technical and performance level
 will be selected by the studio director, to compete on the "EXTREME TEAM".  
These dancers must have dedication, committment and good attendance
 and agree to compete in all competitions selected by the director.
 
 
As an award winning studio, we offer
opportunies for students to get stage
experience by performing in talent
shows, fundraisers, parades, shopping
malls and local shows.  As well, our
competitive team has the opportunity
to compete at local, provincial and
even national level.
